Workspaces and roles

How workspaces keep your brands separate, and what each role can do.

A workspace is a self-contained space for one brand or one client. It has its own connected accounts, its own followed brands and boards, and its own members. If you manage more than one brand, keeping each in its own workspace stops everything from getting tangled together.

Private and team workspaces

  • A private workspace is just for you. It cannot have members invited, which makes it a good home for personal projects.
  • A team workspace is built for working together. You can invite colleagues, and everyone shares the same accounts, brands and boards inside it.

Roles

Everyone in a team workspace has a role that decides what they can do:

  • Owner has full control, including billing and deleting the workspace.
  • Admin manages the day to day, such as connections, members and most settings.
  • Member works inside the workspace without the admin controls.

Roles are set per workspace, not per person overall, so you can be an admin in one workspace and a member in another. That is normal, and it lets an agency and a client share a space without giving everyone the same powers.

Switching between workspaces

Use the workspace selector in Settings or in your profile menu to move between them. Everything on screen, from connected accounts to saved boards, changes to match the workspace you are in, so it is always clear which brand you are working on.
